Introducing The New Samsung LED Hi Def TVs
In a bid to manufacture TVs that are eco-friendly, Samsung has recently introduced its latest UN range of LED HDTVs. LED TVs are different from LCD ones. The Samsung LED TV cuts down energy usage by up to 40%, thus helping you to save on electricity bills monthly.
First of, there is the Samsung UN40B7000. It is the smallest available LED display by Samsung. Even so, it still maintains a very high dynamic contrast ratio of 3 000 000:1, rendering an excellent picture. This results in deeper black and more pristine white levels. It also has Auto Motion Plus 120HZ technology. This means that even for this smallest model, picture quality is still excellent with smooth transitions.
All UN range TVs are produced free of lead and mercury, improving the eco-friendliness of the product. This is a 7 series TV, meaning it has greater connectivity and additional built-in entertainment features.
Next would be the Samsung UN46B7000. A larger model compared to the previous one. The improved picture quality trumps that of the conventional LCD. However, off-angle viewing would not be encouraged. Basically, the features will be the same as the above. As for connectivity with various electronic devices, as long as the device has a DLNA certification, you will be able to view the respective pictures or videos etc. directly.
Its sister model is the Sansung UN46B6000. The 6 series is the most basic of Samsung’s LED HDTVs. They deliver greater picture quality and are thinner than LCD TVs. As with all UN range TVs, it is an energy star compliant. Therefore, though the 6 series does not have the connectivity to the internet like the 7 series, there are still 4 HDMI ports. Picture quality is as good as the LEDs in the 7 series.
In conclusion, while LED TVs are more expensive than LCD ones, the accumulated savings from less energy usage more than makes up for the hefty pricetag.
